Wishlist Wednesday #4

Hello everyone! Hi! W-E-D-N-E-S-D-A-Y IS HERE~~ So here's another Wishlist Wednesday! Wishlist Wednesday is actually a book blog hop where we will post on every Wednesday, about one book that has been on our wishlist for some time! Wishlist Wednesday is hosted by Dani over @PenToPaper.

For this week's Wishlist Wednesday.. It is actually a book which I've recently read! I really, really enjoyed it. It was definitely different.. than what I would normally read. Anyway, the book is called Reason To Breathe by Rebecca Donovan.

Reason To Breathe
(Breathing #1)
By Rebecca Donovan
Published on May 9th 2011

"No one tried to get involved with me, and I kept to myself. This was the place where everything was supposed to be safe and easy. How could Evan Mathews unravel my constant universe in just one day?"

He knows there’s something more to the girl sitting in the back of the class the moment he sees her. She’s beautiful, intelligent, and athletic – but she slips quietly through the crowded halls, trying not to exist. Determined to get to know the elusive girl, Evan soon discovers…

Emma Thomas is hiding a terrible secret.

Reason to Breathe is an electrifying page turner from start to finish, a unique tale of life-changing love, unspeakable cruelty, and one girl’s fragile grasp of hope.
This book.. If I had to use one word to describe it.. it would be mind-blowing! I'm just speechless.. If you read the synopsis, it probably doesn't give much away. To give a brief summary about this book.. I don't want to spoil too much but it's about this girl called Emma. And she's currently living with her uncle & aunt. However, behind those doors, Emma gets abused time to time by her aunt. I don't want to say why - you have to read for yourself - but Emma.. Emma has only one best friend, and even her best friend doesn't know the whole story of what happens behind those doors. And Emma always keeps others away from her but her life starts to change in a way when Evan shows up in her school.. You can see for yourself the changes.. The character development was really great & the emotions were so raw.

If I had not convince you to go and read this book.. Let me just say a few more things. This book was such a powerful book. I didn't expect it to be so intense! I've never read anything like this before.. The pain.. that Emma had to go through.. Her obstacles.. Her trauma.. It felt so real. It hurts me to see such pain. Seeing what Emma had to go through.. This book just evoked such strong emotions from me. A powerful & emotional book that's worth the read. I felt like this became more like a review somehow...

I'm sorry for rambling so much! It's just such an awesome book that I definitely wanted it to join my other books on my book shelf! That's all for today! Have an awesome week ahead~ Have fun reading <3
